For first-time homebuyers, finding the right home can seem overwhelming. Robin, our new home hunting advisor, aims to simplify the process. We got the scoop on why Robin’s the best way to find and buy the perfect home.
Hello Robin, thanks for joining us. Can you explain a little bit about your role?
Purchasing a home is complicated. Our job is to guide buyers through the homebuying process and essentially project manage their search.
Project manage? That sounds complicated.
Not at all. We help streamline the buying process. Buyers simply tell us their preferences: neighborhood, amenities, home size, etc. and we send them listings that fit their criteria via daily text messages. With their feedback, we adjust the listings we send until we find the perfect property match. Then we set up a viewing and put them in touch with one of our vetted buyer’s agents. We handle the calls and scheduling so buyers don’t have to.
You mentioned buyers can search by their preferences. What sort of information do they have access to?
Most home search sites have standard information like the number of bedrooms, bathrooms, and neighborhoods, but Localize takes things much further with our unparalleled insights. When buyers view a listing on our site, they can find information on schools, safety, proximity to parks, information about upcoming construction — even how much sunlight a particular unit gets. We believe in giving buyers the full picture, which allows them to make an informed decision. As our buyers communicate a change in preferences, we update the listings we show them.
How do you handle all those requests and inquiries?
I drink gallons of coffee a day. Just kidding. I’m not just one person working behind a desk. Robin is a whole team of great people working tirelessly to make sure buyers get the best service possible. We leverage AI technology to ensure buyers are only shown properties that fit their needs, and our team is available to answer any questions buyers may have about the process of buying a home in general.
What other questions do you help buyers with on their homebuying journey?
Buyers can ask us for additional information about a property, such as if a particular home is a good investment, or for specifics around restrictions co-ops may have. We can also connect them with trusted lenders or real estate attorneys. No question is off limits. We’re here to help and want to provide buyers with as much information as they need to make an informed decision.
What should buyers know about using Robin?
Not only will we help them find their dream home, we’ll be with them every step of the process from start to finish. We won’t ghost them.
How much does this stellar service cost?
You heard that correctly, finding a home with Robin is free for buyers. Although their phone carrier may charge standard rates for messaging and texts.
That’s amazing. What cities do you operate in?
This service is currently available in New York City, but we are looking to expand.
